Old Folks Attempt to use Webcam
Well. I had to post this. Caught wind of this earlier this week. Nothing like grabbing 15 minutes of fame due to ignorance. And there’s nothing wrong with ignorance. You have to be there before you can be in the know. Remember. There are no dumb questions. And if you’re trying to figure something out, you might as well accidentally record yourself doing it.
Webcams are tricky, especially when you just pop in the software disc and then figure the camera out on your own. And if it’s a new computer with a camera built in, which this one probably was, they can be even more confusing if you don’t take the time to click on the help section of the application and program. And you know, I appreciate that. I need a good laugh or two daily.
Folks like these are the reason this blog exists. I love the effort, the failure and the eventual understanding. I bet they can use that webcam with the best of us, now!
